Vank Cathedral—the Holy Saviour complex in New Julfa—is one of the foremost spiritual and cultural centres of Iran’s Armenian community. Its restrained brick exterior opens into a rich world of biblical murals, gilding, tilework and Armenian inscriptions, bringing Armenian, Persian and European arts together. The museum and library preserve memories of migration, printing, commerce and community life.
