Kandelous lies on the Alborz slopes in Mazandaran. Traditional houses and village lanes lead to a rural museum preserving objects of local life. Community storytelling and medicinal-herb cultivation add to its cultural character. It was selected for Best Tourism Villages by UN Tourism in 2025.
